Rainbow Fish

Visited @booksofwonder and I ended up finding books from my childhood. Looking at the illustrations inspired me to start a series of dishes based on children's books.

Goodnight Moon

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
Made a salted caramel, bourbon vanilla, chai spiced flan, since those are nice warming and comforting flavors right before bed, and a malt powder cow meringue. A sweet treat right before you curl up in bed this fall.
Kinda turned out like the picture of the cow jumping over the moon.
Goodnight Moon is about avoidance as the little rabbit refuses to go to bed but eventually gives in. Here I created an almost cloyingly sweet dessert, something most people avoid before eventually taking a small bite just to taste.
